Used operational amplifiers and voltage comparators to transform, interpret and communicate a thermocouple readout. The device beeps and flashes according to temperature and a previously defined temperature scale. While some thermometer modules allow direct interpretation of temperature from Arduino via its I2C bus, our approach meant an even simpler circuit involving no electronic elements, thus opening the possibility to measure temperature without an Arduino (using a basic multimeter instead). This kind of circuit could be implemented in a 3d printer to measure the heated bed's temperature accurately.
